Hi
Polish OpenSolaris translation team wants to host an OpenSolaris
Conference in Szczecin, Poland. We plan it so far at 23,24 October 2008.
We give ourselves a long distance, so everything can be done properly,
since it is a very first technical conference I am trying to organise.
I already have a firm very keen on sponsoring and orginising whole
event and they have some experience in that matter. We are aiming at
max. 200 persons, but we would like to launch some registration site, so
we can trace the number eventually change place.
We want to guarantee some snacks during the event (but not dinner) and
a hotel rooms for prelegents.
We already have some prelegents and I believe I can share this
publicly, that Jim Grisanzio would like to be here and can already look
for red pen, to mark these days in his calendar. :)
We hop to have some freesbies (t-shirts, mugs).
If anyone has any experience that can be shared with us, I'd really
love to hear from them.
We would like to cover OpenSolaris, Solaris, Java. We already have ppl
for dtrace, zfs and fma.
If anyone of you would like to come, I can look for cheap or
comfortable hotesl, depending on what you like or need. :)
Szczecin is about 3 hours drive long from Berlin, so those of you that
live close to German North-East border may consider just driving for
event. There is a train, I believe. :)
Regards
