Contributor status, maybe.  Core Contributor, definitely not.  Even if 
you are the best and most active user group leader in your user group - 
it may have no bearing whatsoever on your role and activity in the 
OpenSolaris community at large.  The 2007 OGB elections were almost 
invalid because we weren't able to get high enough voter turnout because 
all the user group leaders were granted contributor grants that gave 
them a vote.

At http://poll.opensolaris.org (in the Grants tab), which tracks the 
contributor grants for every community.
