  I can only recommend reading the Constitution.  6.3 is clear that the
  nominations must be open for 7 days at a minimum, and that the voting
  phase must also be open for 7 days at a minimum.  And we have a voting
  system at poll.opensolaris.org that already handles open polling over
  a declared period of time (and was used to run last year's election).
