Google is Linux centric. A Google recruiter called me over a year ago
and was looking for someone that could setup and direct the creation of
server farms from concrete foundation through to final HVAC signoff
and then move on the the next server farm. After half a dozen people
talkng with me about planning and directing people and doing basic army
project planning I hit someone that asked me about Linux. That was the
last I ever heard from them. Strangely, Solaris servers run on x86 and
AMD64 just like Linux but that was news to them. At the end of a three
month process I decided that the Google recruiting process was insane.
Regardless, Google recruiters are in the business of poaching talent
pools for the express purpose of dropping heads into Linux jobs. I'll
eat my shorts ( with Ketchup ) if they hire anyone from the OpenSolaris
world to actually do work on OpenSolaris.

I can certainly help there to keep the noise makers out. Google is the best
of a bad lot quite frankly. In my opinion.
