Instant recognisability. Whenever I see a rotund penguin sitting down,
I immediately make a Linux connection (even if not in a computing context).
I think there're two things in consideration here: a logo of some sort
and a mascot. Apache's feather is their logo and Tux is Linux's mascot.
Are mascots and logos necessarily different things?
