Hi Advocates,

I'm proposing creation of OpenSolaris Developers Conference (osdevcon in
short) related mailing lists @opensolaris.org.

The motivation behind the mailing list creation is to allow easier
coordination of the OSDEVCON planning activities. The mailing lists
should serve similar purpose as the mailing lists debconf-announce[1]
and debconf-discuss[2] used to coordinate the Debian's DebConf[3]
conference.

*osdevcon-announce at opensolaris.org*

Public mailing list, open subscription, all accepted speakers get
automatically subscribed to this list in order to receive important
conference related information (schedule, venue details, etc.)

*osdevcon-discuss at opensolaris.org*

Public mailing list, open subscribtion, used as Reply-To: for
osdevcon-announce. Any venue related things (food, fun, dancing, BoF
proposals, trips, etc.) should be discussed here.

*osdevcon-team at opensolaris.org*

Private mailing list, closed subscription, used by the conference core
crew to discuss confidential and secret matters such as sponsorship
options, contracts, etc. The creation of this mailing list is optional
and subject to your opinions wrt/ private mailing lists @ opensolaris.org.

Mailing lists should be initially owned and managed by:

Martin.Man at sun.com
Lukas.Rovensky at sun.com
Dirk.Wetter at guug.de
Martin.Schulte at guug.de

who form the OSDEVCON2008 organization team.

let me know what do you think,
Martin

P.S. and yes, I think I can already reveal that OSDEVCON2008 will be
organized as cooperation of GUUG[4] and CZOSUG[5] and will welcome you
all in the very heart of Europe, Prague, in the spring 2008.
