True, but there needs to be maintenance; software just can't be thrown into
the distribution and end users to be told 'tough luck' till the next release
of GNOME - there need to be follow up builds and mergers into SXCE or
otherwise it'll simply be a waste to anyone actually wanting to 'getting
into' Solaris.
In the case of JDS, for example, offer a new of the stable line once per
week whilst offering those who are a little more adventurous a development
version - and where possible, merge the new build into the next SXCE.
Just a side note, I tried to compile SFE*specs but found that it couldn't
find msgfmt command in /opt/sfw/bin.
