Hi ...

I migrated the Newsletter content from the Content Project to the
Advocacy CG. I'll ask Derek to set up the url redirects for that
content, and then I'll delete the Content Project when we open the
Advocacy CG. I moved the UG Leaders grid as well.

Also, I updated the text below a bit from the last time I sent it
around. If it's ok, I'll post it on the site. It's just an opening
message ...

Welcome to the Advocates Community Group

The Advocates Community Group exists to help people around the world get
involved in the OpenSolaris Community. We welcome participation from
people of all languages and cultures and people with all levels of
technical and non-technical skills. Everyone has something to contribute.

In our community you will find independent user groups, presentations,
news, articles, blogs, technical & non-technical content, videos and
podcasts, events and conferences, community metrics, swag, badges,
buttons, and a variety of other promotional projects. And if we don't
have it, we'll link to it.

We are just getting started, though. We grew out of the recent merger of
three OpenSolaris Communities -- Marketing, User Groups, and Immigrants.
Over time the Advocacy Community Group will sponsor both technical and
non-technical projects and will migrate all the existing user groups to
be individual projects.

Our defining guidelines and values are simple: we embrace the
OpenSolaris Principles http://opensolaris.org/os/about/ and we are a
community group in good standing under the OpenSolaris Constitution
http://opensolaris.org/os/community/ogb/governance/

Join us and get involved ...
