Agree 100%. We have what they call a "word mark" -- which is the 
orange/blue "OpenSolaris" but it would be nice to have some sort of logo 
to go along with that. Some graphical element.

I always liked the polar bear.

The OpenSolaris community is growing rapidly now, it's diversifying, and 
it's passionate. I think it's just a matter of time when it adopts 
something on it's own. So, we should probably explore this again.

Many times. In fact this conversation started back in the pilot program 
and has cropped up from time to time on the marketing and UG lists 
(which are now advocacy-discuss). I think there are trademark issues, 
but I'm not speaking from any real knowledge on that. Sara is quite 
knowledgeable on this, though, so I'm sure she'll chime in.

I agree with Steve. I don't think the OGB has a role here. I think the 
(soon to be opened) Advocacy CG can work on this, fix all the known 
issues, and then go to the larger community.
