For the sake of the proposal, I'd add the word "project" just so it's
consistent with the format. So, Open Solaris User Group Project

You can just say Advocacy Community Group.

Perhaps you can post student projects to your UG project space so they
are shared with the greater community? How many students are there at
the school?
Oh, you may also want to mention that you need/want a mail list and
project space on the site. Just to be specific that you are requesting
infrastructure to help support the effort.

Cool.
Since this is our first proposal, I'd like to suggest to everyone that
we have a discussion about this for 2 or 3 days (more? less?) and
support it or not. On the face of it, I certainly like it. Let's see
what the others in the Advocacy CG think. Then we can move on to the
next steps ...
