I've been hanging out with the Tokyo Linux User Group (TLUG) for a bit:

I think there are lots of ways we can collaborate with these guys (and 
other open source communities) here in Tokyo using user groups as a 
venue to get together. If any of the OpenSolaris user groups are getting 
together with other communities, please feel free to share your 
experiences here ...
