Then he should know not to speak out on stuff he knows nothing about.

He's not just a developer. He's the leader of a global community of 
developers, and his words carry a great deal of weight with them and 
reports, analysts, and customers. Just as we shouldn't criticize the 
bits in Linux we know nothing about, he should give us the same 
professional courtesy in return. If not, ok, I'll continue pointing to 
these things, and we should continue correcting the record. As long as 
we don't attack back, I think it's our responsibility to correct this 
stuff. Which is exactly what has happened in this case.
