[advocacy-discuss] OpenSolaris on Twitter

In an effort to incorporate more and hipper avenues of communication and
collaboration I've created an OpenSolaris "channel" on Twitter:
http://www.twitter.com/opensolaris/

Twitter doesn't actually have channels, so here's how it works:

There is now an "opensolaris" user account on Twitter (opened by me).
This account is to be considered community owned, I'll give the password
to anyone trustworthy. It is not a Sun corporate asset.

As the "opensolaris" user updates can be made just like any other
Twitter user, which is a good avenue for interesting happenings,
releases, announcements, etc. I've pre-seeded several.

Here's where it becomes fun, by utilizing Twitter's "With Others"
feature anyone designated as a "Friend" (of the opensolaris user
account) is included in the following page:
http://twitter.com/opensolaris/with_friends

To become a "Friend" and be included in the "With Friends" page people
need to "Follow" the opensolaris user and then the opensolaris user
marks followers as a friend. (Sorr if that seems confusing.)

The point is, this allows the "with_friends" page to act as an
aggregation of OpenSolaris enthusiasts using Twitter. We can see what
we're all up to, and thats interesting.

Feedback is welcome. This is an experiment of course, we'll see how it
goes.

If you want the keys let me know and I'll hook you up (if appropriate).
