OpenSolaris is indeed a trademark (Of Sun Microsystems).  It is posible
for community projects such as the conference to use it, provided they
get the OK.  To request permission, please send an email to:

	trademarks at opensolaris.org

I'm on the TM committee, and I can't see your request being denied.  :-)
