Linus has stated multiple times that:
a) he doesn't know Solaris
b) he doesn't have time for Solaris
c) that he will only look at features in Solaris, if someone he trusts
brings them to his attention
Also take into consideration that for awhile there it looked like
Linux was in the home stretch for displacing Solaris in the rack and
stack commodity space. It must be somewhat disappointing for Andrew
and Linus.
