Though it's a lot of work!

We in the ie-osug have also been summarising stuff on a monthly basis,
and that's a little easier to handle from a logistics point of view -
particularly in that mail.opensolaris.org batches up the mailing list
archives in the various lists by month, rather than by week, so it's not
too hard to visit each mailing list and see what's been happening over
the past month.

I agree with Jim, it's difficult to know where to draw the bounds here,
doing weekly news is pretty intensive - the monthly summaries I've been
doing since about July 2006 are:

 * links to interesting mail threads
 * links to interesting project news
 * particular putbacks/flag days
 * industry news about OpenSolaris

Of late, these news summaries have also been in audio form on the
ie-osug podcast at

Prior to the meetings, I usually try to get feedback from #opensolaris
