Hello, Christopher.

We have four groups in Australia, so there's probably room for more 
http://opensolaris.org/os/community/advocacy/usergroups/ug-leaders/. :) 
And I love the idea of collaborating with the other communities, too. 
That's happening more and more around the world. But I'm not sure the 
name works, though. You will be sitting on opensolaris.org, you will 
have an opensolaris.org mailing list, you will be part of the 
OpenSolaris Advocacy Community Group, and perhaps eventually your UG 
members will earn Contributor and/or Core Contributors status under the 
OpenSolaris Constitution. Calling all that "Linux & Co" really doesn't 
work for me.

However, you bring up a really interesting issue. Just what do we call 
meta-groups like you are proposing? And why shouldn't we explore doing 
something like this in some regions? This is the fist time this has come 
up (I think). I'm sure others will have an opinion. I don't have a 
creative solution off the top of my head at the moment.
