Yes, I know where you are coming from. Fortunately, we have had some
good speakers from within our community, and some from abroad (planning
is everything). We have also had a remote presentation (quite shabby
due to failing infrastructure - my bad) from a key developer on
the crossbow team. Even though the infrastructure was failing on us,
it was a memorable event to have one of the key people present to
us. This is where the American based UGs hae the advantage over us
Europeans (always one or more key figures around), but with some
creative thinking, we should be able to get some interesting
speakers too. Just keep an eye on the folks preseting tech-days and
schedule accordingly, or try to get one of the developers to do
a remote presentation (even by phone it works quite well).

OpenSolaris.org in general, or your France Sun team in particular can be
of help contacting the right persons. If not, let me know if I can
help out.

No, not really. I know we have some open positions for Campus
Ambassadors, but I don't know which are fulfilled yet. Then again,
many of the Sun folks have a university background, so I can't be
all that difficult to go and ask. I guess the same holds for the
members of the Dutch and French OpenSolaris UGs...

advocacy-discuss seems quite appropriate to me.
