Hi All,

My metrics were just form the web hits at opensolaris.org. I knew they could be a bit skewed, and they didn't feel quite right with Belenix etc being so big. I was not only looking at the activity but also areas they may be easier to get more people involved getting the adopters to influence the masses, anyone who has read "The Tipping Point" will understand. But it did achieve a lot of what I wanted anyway, discussion on what areas are doing well, from a newbie this is hard to find out. Good to see the dutch representing, dutch ancestory (vv).

Have there been any studies, surveys done into who uses opensolaris , and where they came from. I mean along disgruntled windows, then ubuntu, then bsd before opensolaris (like me). I am looking at making profiles of people using opensolaris from location right through to use. Again excuse my ignorance as I am not really involved yet, but I think my observations or questions are interesting and warranted as a user who is looking from the outside.

Cheers
Craig
