[advocacy-discuss] Core Contributor Recommendations: Joey Guo and John Jiang

I'd like to request that the Advocacy Core Contributors consider 
granting Joey Guo and John Jiang Core Contributor status for their 
efforts to build community in China.

I've worked with Joey and John on various projects for two years. Their 
OpenSolaris operations in China are not only massive but they are 
getting serious results as well. The Beijing OSUG is active and growing 
and having large meetings, the university outreach programs are engaging 
tens of thousands of students and hundreds of professors, the Chinese 
coding contest project on opensolaris.org has been very successful, the 
China portal is growing in web traffic and translations, a local 
education portal was created for additional student outreach, a China 
version of the Starter Kit has been distributed, and OpenSolaris has 
been presented at multiple conferences in multiple cities. Joey and John 
are clear leaders in all of these areas. I recommend we recognize their 
leadership with grants of Core Contributor.
