Hi Wayne,

Good question.

Building communities, in essential, is building relationships. And we
all know, just like finding a boyfriend/girlfriend, relationship
building is a progressive process, which takes time and patients, and
requires a lot of communication. In mainland China, our team has been
actively involved in this process for 4 years, therefore we have a
relatively mature relationship with teachers, students, professional
developers in many regions across China. On the contrast, the trip to
Taiwan in April 2008 was the first time for us (our team in China).
Therefore, the low attendance and involvement was well expected before
the trip. However, the first step, however small it is, is required for
the second step.

Best regards,

There were almost more organizers/instructors than attendees. OTOH, at least the session in Dalian was very successful. I was told there were more than several hundred in the attendance. I was wondering what could be the cause of the difference?
