hey ...
I went to an OpenSolaris event last nite in Tokyo:

Sun engineers from globalization, marketing, services, and other groups
have been running these events for a couple of years now, but since the
OpenSolaris 2008.05 launch I`m noticing that the crowds are getting
younger and bigger, and the traffic from Japan hitting
jp.opensolaris.org has increased substantially. This may be a temporary
blip, who knows, but I`m wondering if anyone else has seen a change in
their events or UG meetings in the last couple of months?
Also, some of the engineers from Sun Japan will be going to a Linux UG
meeting in Tokyo to talk DTrace http://www.tlug.jp/ML/0807/msg00004.html
in a week or so. We hope to do some joint meetings in the future with
the Linux and the BSD communities here. It was very cool that some guys
from the Linux and BSD communities came to the OpenSolaris 2008.05 Japan
launch.
