Guys,

I agree that this is becoming chatter. However, I'm still interested in 
the point that Jörg made before you guys went astray, and I didn't see 
an answer:

Sun is *adding* new, proprietary, non-free code to OpenSolaris (the 
distro or the project or whatever).

Alan, in my understanding, and please correct me if I'm wrong, this is 
*not* something for Emancipation. Emancipation, from what I know, aims 
to get rid of old, encumbered code (which is a Good Thing). It does not 
apply to new, encumbered code that finds its way right now in the 
distro/repository or wherever.

Beside, Jörg pointed it out for *drivers*, tavor and others, for which 
Emancipation has absolutely no hope to bring a solution, ever, since 
hardware vendors rarely see the FOSS Light (I don't care if they're 
right or wrong, it's just a fact).

So, in a nutshell: should Sun introduce code that cannot be replaced by 
FOSS code as an integral part of OpenSolaris, rather than a distinct 
branch called for example "non-free"?
