We conducted a virtual installfest in our university. It turned out to be a great event. We could pull up something like this on a much bigger scale. We could also do this inside of SecondLife, for an emmersive experience.

A Virutal InstallFest, whereby people gather at a place inside SecondLife, install Solaris on their systems inside a virtual machine. There is a live stream of the installation happening on the host's system. There is a IRC-like in-world chatroom for troubleshooting and doubts.
