[advocacy-discuss] ipkg image-update woes - worldwide opensolaris mirrors will help opensolaris adoption rates

Yes, I did not realize that, this could be a big issue to mirroring. Looks
like you need not
only a pkg mirrored disk area but you also need the IPS server app layer
that connects to it so it 'understands' that the files you want are actually
the same.

So we want 'smart repos' not just rsync'd filesystems that are 'network'
closer to the OpenSolaris systems running pkg.
