Agreed, but there are always ways to mask dilution/confusion... Maybe we
should have a single top level such as www.opensolarisportal.com (or
even www.solarisportal.com) which has a simple homepage giving the
viewer the option of going to whichever "flavour" of OpenSolaris they
are interested in; whether it be building from source (the true
OpenSolaris), Indiana (the Sun official OpenSolaris version), the other
"flavours" of distro based on OpenSolaris, or whatever else comes along.

It can't be. Sun already owns this, and there is still a marked
difference between OpenSolaris and Solaris at the moment; ie. the latter
is a commercial product, the former not. Plus you shouldn't really
associate OpenSolaris with a .com suffix

I like the concept of "OpenSolariz n the Hood" ;-) (OK, cheap ghetto
joke - apols). Certainly segregation is negative de facto, but again, if
it is "hidden" well enough...
