Why would one do this?

I can think of several reasons why not:

 - We're already spread across multiple locations; adding another one
is going to dilute things further and add more confusion.

 - I think the whole emphasis is wrong. Surely it should be solaris.com?

 - The last 4 years has convinced me that what really adds value is to
bring all the members of the community together, so segmenting
different classes of members into little ghettos is a negative step

 - Many members will be on both, doubling the effort required to be
involved.

We should be combining, not fragmenting.
