No, I can't imagine how that interaction would work, to be honest: the
-v option is taken in GNU ls, so the only fix is to remove /usr/gnu/bin
from the front of the PATH.

I can quite certainly raise bugs for these things when I find them, but
as I don't intend to actually use OpenSolaris/Indiana I suspect they'll
mostly go unnoticed.  This was just one that I knew would cause problems
after, ooh, 0.4 seconds of consideration.
