Hi,
On Oct.11, ACM/ICPC begins its first contest of 2008 at Harbin
Engineering University.
About 110 teams(about 500 students) from 73 universities,5
countries(China,Russia,Japan,Singapore,Korean) joined this event.
It's our great honour to invite James Hughes (Sun VP,Solaris CTO,Sun
Fellow) and Fang Li to attend the opening ceremony.
About ten medias will report this event.
In 2008,ACM/ICPC attracts 3000 teams from 400 universities to compete
online in China.
After the online contest, some of them will get the access to on-site
contest.
There will be 5 on-site contests in China ,part of the 33rd ACM/ICPC
Asia Regional Contests.
As technical sponsor of ACM/ICPC China Regional Contest, Sun provides
OpenSolaris(Netbeans and SunStudio as Dev. IDE) as the contest
platform,and on-site technical support.
Professors of ACM/ICPC loves OpenSolaris's new feature,ZFS
Snapshot, which helps them to zero the machines between contest phases.
With Sun's support, ACM/ICPC China Official website will be launched
recently,it will be running on OpenSolaris(GlassFish+Apache+MySQL).
