This month's FROSUG (Front Range OpenSolaris User Group) meeting is on
Thursday, October 23rd 2008 -- a week earlier than normal, and at NCAR in
Boulder with FRUUG (Front Range Unix Users' Group).
Special thanks go out to NCAR and for hosting us this month and FRUUG for
co-hosting with us! Next month, we will be at Sun again for the release of
OpenSolaris 2008.11.
We will have presentations as follows....
o Lustre (architecture and features) -- Bryon Neitzel
o Installing and Developing on OpenSolaris -- Ginnie Wray
Along with the presenters we will have people on hand to help you install
Solaris or answer other Solaris (and Unix) issues you may have.
Bryon Neitzel has a BS and MS in Computer Science, worked for several
years at IBM on the OS/2 operating system, and joined Cluster File
Systems, Inc. (CFS) two years ago as a development manager and solution
architect. Since CFS was acquired by Sun Microsystems, he has been
managing the Linux HPC Software stack team in the Lustre organization.
Ginnie Wray is a software engineer in the OpenSolaris install group at
Sun. She graduated from CU Boulder with a BS in Computer Science and has
