While the tools can be great, I will do -1 on anything sun.com.
It must be on opensolaris.org.
Those conferences are made by the Community, and while I'm advocating
for a strong Sun sponsorship, it doesn't mean ownership, either real or
apparent. Perception matters a lot: we, as a UG, want to appear as
working in cooperation with Sun, at the community level, not being a
marketing puppet. I emphasize /appear/, because I know this is not Sun
intention.

That's where I think a central Sun OpenSolaris sponsorship office would
help, by knowing that kind of info.
Sun seems to have *a lot* of internal or semi-internal lists that could
be interested in those events, and only Sun can post to those to
announce it.
