[advocacy-discuss] Proposal for new OSUGs in Hangzhou/Xi'an at China

Hi ,

We'd like to propose the formation of two new OSUGs in Hangzhou/Xi'an at China.

These two groups have been in existence at China for a while. As the
core member of the two user groups, I participated in all of them in
many different ways. As the a open source group, especially interesting
in OpenSolaris area, it is particularly important to participate on
OpenSolaris community so that we have a convenient way to communicate
across all the OSUGs and projects around the world, meanwhile keep us
posted on the latest progress of new technology.

Description of the two groups:
How can we attract and keep more open source fans stay at OpenSolaris
and help them to learn and use the OpenSolaris at their daily life?
These information are spread over the internet, sometimes in a very
technical language, so we would like to make a centralized point (prefer
to use Chinese) using easier expressions. They can share their ideas and
communicate better here. The projects will archive their contributions,
presentations, and other material to the project space on the
OpenSolaris site.

Activities:
On Aguest 30, we have accomplished the first group meeting at hangzhou,
more than 30 developers attended this meeting.The topic of this event
focused on Web&Enterprise application and deployment based on
OpenSolaris platform, lots of popular open source technologies including
MySQL, OpenOffice and OpenSolaris etc. were discussed here.
