Yes... and adding to that, I have found that getting a Java development
environment on OpenSolaris is not any more difficult than doing so on Linux
or Win32 for that matters: Simply go to java.com, netbeans.org, the
glassfish site and whatever you need, download the packages, install them
and get work done. Or do I miss the point here?
