FWIW, these Toshiba systems are amazing. I've been using OpenSolaris on
a R500 since the first release candidate and *never* had to reinstall
it. It still has all the boot environments since then, and every device
works perfectly. I've also traveled all over the place with it and never
had any problems.
The AC doesn't like being dipped in coffee, but who does.
