[advocacy-discuss] OpenSolaris Release Cycle

Hi all,

I just thinking why we do not establish release cycle framework
similar to Ubuntu Linux distribution? Everyone could know then
exact time of next release and how long support for particular
release will last. Also we should establish release with Long
Term Support which will appear, let say, every 18 or 24 months
and brand it as a new version of Solaris. All other releases
could be branded with OpenSolaris.
