Hi,

A few of us here in Scotland are proposing starting up the Scottish
OpenSolaris User Group (ScOSUG) to discuss, advocate and increase
awareness of OpenSolaris in Scotland. So far, I've managed to rope in
two additional volunteers (broonie and mconnell on opensolaris.org --
I'm mathie, BTW), and hope to have positive responses from a few
others I've asked about it. I should also reach out to the Sun
offices in Linlithgow, see if there is any interest there.

Initially, we'll arrange a monthly meeting, in a pub in central
Edinburgh, but hopefully we will be able to arrange a more formal
venue that will accommodate speakers in the near future. I'm also the
organiser of the Scottish Ruby User Group, so I should be able to get
a venue sorted out pretty quickly as I already have contacts for
venues around here.

Cheers,

Graeme.
