[advocacy-discuss] OSUG Kits are shipping!

Hi folks,

The first part of the OSUG kits have started to ship.  This shipment 
contains OpenSolaris 2008.11 CDs, laptop stickers, a $100 Visa gift 
card, and, for most of you, Getting Started with OpenSolaris 2008.11 
mini-books.  We have these books in several languages, but only the 
English ones are done.  Rather than hold everything up, we decided to 
get shipping.

A couple important things:

- The Visa gift card is packaged in an envelope along with the laptop 
stickers.  Let us know (osug-kits at sun.com) if you have any difficulty 
activating or using the card.  It would be great to know what you decide 
to use if for too!

- If you are receiving a kit, you should receive an email from FedEx 
when the shipment ships.  This email contains airway bill numbers, the 
number of packages, the ship-to address etc.  We hope to get all the 
shipments out by Friday January 23rd.  If you've requested a kit, and 
you have not seen an email by then, let us know.

- Let us know when you get the package.  Send an email.  Post some 
photos.  Blog.

- The tshirts and leader shirts are likely to start shipping late next 
week.  I'll send another note to the list when they do.  We ran out of 
some sizes, so we have had to adjust some of the requests to accommodate 
the sizes we still had at the time your request arrived.


And...if you still haven't requested an OSUG Kit, you still can.  We 
just can't customize the tshirts for you anymore...but we can send 
shirts and other goodies.  Check out this thread for more info:
