Hi there!
Munich OpenSolaris Usergroup starts to evangelize other OS user groups:
I'm preparing a presentation which will be held at the local Mac User
Group in Munich, Germany on Wednesday the upcoming week. Main intention
is to "justify" some urban legends about DTrace and ZFS for Mac users.
While the technical part of the presentation will be done by Constantin
Gonzalez from Sun, I wanted to talk about OpenSolaris community briefly
and would like to give some numbers on the size of the community. Latest
numbers I have are from January 2009. Are there some more up to date
numbers around? The marketing metrics linked on the advocacy community
at opensolaris.org stop at July 2008, which is even older.
What I wanted to know and speak about, is the current number of user
groups, registered users, postings to mailing lists, maybe some number
regarding the amount of community submitted code and such.
Thanks for any help.
