My receipe to understand both "english" versions:

a) Rent "The Office", US version, and "The Big Bang Theory". Watch all
the chapters four times.
b) Rent "The Benny Hill Show" and "The IT Crowd". Watch all the chapters
four times too.

If in doubt, rent "Dr. House" too.
