I think slashdot.org is not nice solution to host it. IRC channel
on irc.freenode.net would be much better answer. I'm willing to chat
but I just cannot do it. I never used slashdot.org nor I see some
chat opportunity there.

It's a flash widget that shows up in the upper right corner of the page; 
just reload the slashdot page a few times and it should appear (assuming 
you're not blocking ads :))
