[advocacy-discuss] Update OSUG Names for XWiki

hey ...
As we get closer to the final move to XWiki on Oct 26th, I wanted to
point out a naming convention that I'd like to update for all the OSUGs
on the site. It will make navigation cleaner on the new site and make
the OSUG collective space consistent with the Projects and Community
Groups.
On the current site, each OSUG is called "XXX OpenSolaris User Group"
and that's the name you see a the top of your Project space. That name
is generated by the tonic web application so you can't remove it on the
current site.
On the new site, the OSUGs have been pulled out of the Project
collective and will live in their own collective called User Groups.
Also, the name "XXX OpenSolaris User Group" is handled differently by
the XWiki application. The name appears in two places: at the top of
your space above the search box on the left and also in the list of
OSUGs in the left nav spaces box along with Community Groups and
Projects. Both are navigation elements, but the name in the nav box is
long and creates a lot of line breaks. For the sake of convenience, I
want to update all of the OSUG names on the /current site/ so they
migrate to the /new site/ as just "Japan" or Atlanta" or "Shanghai" or
whatever the first descriptive name of the group is. In other words, we
don't need "OpenSolaris User Group" repeated 150 times in that list. If
we clean that nav bar up a bit it would be easier to quickly scan
through to find a group.
Now, you can't make this text change on your UG Project space on the
current site, but I can so that's why I'm sending this mail. We only
have a few weeks before we move to the new site so it seems like a good
time to do this.
Sound good?
Jim
