Well, I first tried sharing with NFS, but found the write speed to be slow, so I tried CIFS. CIFS seemed much faster so I abandoned further usage of NFS.

Regarding any reasons you would want to continue looking at NFS, I'm not the right person to ask, so maybe other people here could answer.
