I sortof agree - nested consolidations tend to be better
thought of as a WOS, though I was thinking of the logistics
of separating the DD and ON consolidations and how that might
require a period of transition where the interconnecting
contracts and code keep them joined tighter than we would
really like...

I've been trying to find an example; maybe the churn around
traditional Solaris tools -vs- gnu tools -vs- schillix -vs- ksh
might be a good example to kick around...
