I can't comment on mem-sets, I too would like an update on that work.
The big Duckhorn integration was snv_56, in which the following ARC cases were integrated:
* PSARC 2006/496: Improved Zones/RM]Integration
* PSARC 2006/598: Swap resource control; locked memory RM improvements
* PSARC 2006/660: rcapadm zone option
All 3 of these will be present in S10 Update 4.
CPU Caps followed behind in snv_61 (2004/402) (ncpu's property). This has been excluded (came too late I think) from Update 4 and will no doubt be in Update 5. [Let me clarify, it wasn't in the beta and the beta is now closed. I suppose it could be added, but I nothing I've seen externally suggests that it will.]
CPU, Memory and Swap capping of zones is currently in production usage at Joyent and has been since the day the appropriate SX:CE releases were made available. We are ecstatic about all of these integrations. Several hundred containers have been deployed using these controls and we have nothing but praise.
