Now, you're talking!  The only more or less public interface
I can see right now for adding filesystems is a fake NFS server,
which is a pain, and probably neither efficient nor the best
model in many cases.

Eventually there will be fuse, which might be great for getting
around licensing issues of not linking GPL code with the kernel,
but other than that, I have my doubts about it for heavy-duty use.

Having a reasonable but legitimate way of connecting new filesystems
should give some leverage to those that might like to see Solaris ports of
AFS, DCE/DFS, FiST, etc clean up their act, avoid non-DDI calls, and be
portable (or at least be advised in documentation of the typical changes
needed) to a new release.
