Personally, I don't believe at all in obfuscation.  I think it just
makes the web site annoyingly harder to use for legitimate purposes,
and does almost nothing to hinder even mildly sophisticated address
harvesters.  It just gives in to the vandals.

People can always figure out my address (I've been reachable
electronically for around 25 years or so), and I've got layers of spam
filters.

However, the "standard" on OpenSolaris seems to be to obfuscate and
annoy, and we've had discussions in the past about this, and I'm
apparently in the minority on my extreme disdain for the current
practice, so if you can just get the list of names up there -- letting
people figure out the magic @sun.com on their own -- we'll be in a
much better situation.
