How meaningful is such a thing?
Some people write a few man pages and are being declared as new "core
contributors", just very recently.
Others work months long for free (no Sun contract), get things done that
were previously considered "impossible". (e.g. usable Xorg on SPARC,
port of UPA Linux/BSD- code to OpenSolaris-SPARC, etc. etc.), yet are
still treated as plain contributors. I was on the way to consider a
return. But messages like yours make me scratch my head. It is just such
a thankless thing here. Not only totally uneconomic, but also thankless.
So why should I put my (more of) entire life's time into such a project?
