No, he has not contributed it - he has produced it, and kept it
independent from the work being done here. His groundbreaking (and
IMO much needed and much appreciated) efforts have gone to naught
because they never became part of the work being done here, /in/
the OS.o community. This is a completely frustrating situation
for me, Joerg and many others.

Excuse me? My paid job is to run the ARC process within Sun. Period.
When I started working with OpenSolaris, I wasn't even part of Sun's
Software division - my direct manager thought my OS.o work was a waste
of my time and only reluctantly "let" me work on it - as long as it
didn't interfere with the things he wanted me to do. I'm doing this
because it needs to get done and because I enjoy it. It has only
been in the last 6 months (after I moved into the Software division)
that OpenSolaris-ARC has actually been part of my day job.
