The 32 bit version builds cleanly, but will only load into a 32 bit kernel. I wanted to see if I could get a 64 bit version to build. I modified the makefile to set -m64. This uses the gcc compiler. Here's what I get during a make install Warning: 64-bit version of driver found at /usr/kernel/drv/tun. Place (tun) driver in correct location and run devfsadm -i tun. System configuration files modified but tun driver not loaded or attached. While the svc problem is now fixed, there are a couple of problems that have now arisen 1) The old boot env (labelled Belenix b93) does not boot anymore. ( it does boot, but I see an error message for < a second and then it reboots ) 2) The new env (labelled :"opensolaris-1") does boot, but it boots very slowly while my CPU and disk usage jack up. Not made an scientific measurements but I would say it takes almost thrice as long to boot. 3) Upon reaching KDM login my it creates siome problem with the Keymap. My TAB key becomes the delete key and my caps lock is raised and then becomes unusable. Thus I am unable to log in. I am using BeleniX as a 32 bit VM within VMware server 1.0.6 Can you please help me out with this? Or would it be ok to revert the VM back to the previously working b93 state and try to compile Qt4 etc on that? There was a hostid related integration into a recent SNV build. So once that is booted the hostid gets changed on the same machine. Thus the earlier build will fail since it will compute a different hostid on the same hardware. I do not yet know of a way to force the kernel to use this pool regardless. I'd recommend just do the build using vanilla 0.7.1. You do not need the latest SNV builds to build KDE. If you do it with SX and we have a problem later to do that on BeleniX it will be more of a last minute problem before FOSS.IN. The KDE4 WOS will build on vanilla BeleniX 0.7.1 with of course the devel packages installed: spkg install devel java5 lang-common SUNWuiu8 Regards, Moinak.
