Hmm..
I'm not sure ig Grub will be able to identify the USB if bios cant.
However, you can try the following.. when in grub on an entry, hit 'e'
to go to edit mode. Then add a line to the effect root(hd1,0) (Just
type root(hd<tab>.. the tab completion will show the availabel
devices, there will be 2 hd edtried, one for your hard disk(usually
hd0, and another for your USB)
then hit 'b' to boot.
